How Rackmuse uses your information

Rackmuse collects the information needed to operate your account and storefront, including your email, profile details, confirmations, uploaded images, looks, ratings, and any message you send through the contact form. Your storefront and published looks are public; your account email, contact messages, and confirmation records are not displayed.

We use Supabase for sign-in and Cloudflare for hosting, database records, and uploaded images. We do not currently sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. You can remove your storefront and looks from your studio, unsave looks, or request full account removal from Account & support. Image files and backups are handled separately from deleting a database record. Links to resale marketplaces follow those sites’ own privacy practices.

Age and account choices

Rackmuse accounts are for people aged 13 and older. Stylists must separately confirm that they are at least 18 and receive approval. Before starting a new sign-in, we ask for an age group; selecting under 13 does not start Google sign-in or send an email link. We do not request or retain a birth date. These are self-declarations, not verified ages.

When you finish account setup, we record your account ID, a 13+ confirmation, the terms and privacy versions you acknowledged, and a timestamp. The initial age-group selection is not saved as a profile attribute. Acknowledgement records are private and removed from the active database when full account removal is completed; historical backups follow the retention policy below.

If you believe we hold information from a child under 13, a parent or guardian should contact support@rackmuse.com so we can review and remove it. Please do not send identity documents or a child’s birth date in the initial message. Read the account and community terms for eligibility and publishing rules.

What is public

A stylist’s chosen name, storefront image, fashion point of view, style selections, published looks, item links, and ratings may be visible to anyone who visits Rackmuse. Email addresses and age-confirmation records are not displayed publicly.

Your choices

Stylists can edit, archive, or delete looks and delete their storefront. Storefront deletion removes its looks, drafts, pieces, and received ratings from the active database, but keeps the sign-in account. Saved looks are private to the account that saved them. Drafts remain private and are not part of ordinary admin application review.

For full account removal, submit a verified request at Account & support. Support disables Rackmuse access, removes the associated Rackmuse identity from Supabase, and cleans up application data. This does not delete your Google account. Contact support@rackmuse.com for access, correction, cancellation, or deletion help.

Images, backups, and safety records

New uploads are resized and converted to still WebP images with source metadata removed. Deleting a look or storefront does not immediately erase its image files or historical backups. A daily cleanup checks newly registered uploads that are at least 30 days old and removes files no longer used by any storefront, look, or active draft. Referenced files are preserved. Failed cleanup attempts are retried.

Historical uploads are inventoried separately and protected from automatic deletion until reviewed. Cloudflare database recovery history can retain earlier records for up to 30 days. Operator-created migration and recovery copies are private and are retained while the associated migration or recovery is being verified; they are not a public archive. Contact support to ask about a particular record or if an image needs removal sooner.

To make interrupted saves safe to retry, the database temporarily stores private operation receipts. Retry keys expire after 30 days, and daily bounded cleanup removes older receipts. A cleanup backlog or failure can delay physical deletion; expired keys do not become valid again.

Reports, review decisions, and limited account-removal records support moderation and accountability. They are not public. Report details and internal admin notes should not include passwords, payment information, or unnecessary sensitive information.
